Nextech is looking for a Data Engineer II to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers our analytics and product features. You will work directly on pipelines that transform raw data into reliable, accessible datasets for stakeholders across the company.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable data pipelines
Build and maintain data models that support analytics and business intelligence
Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and product teams to understand requirements
Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure pipeline reliability
Optimize data storage and processing for performance and cost

What We're Looking For

3+ years of hands-on experience in a data engineering role
Proficiency in SQL and experience with a modern data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Airflow, dbt, or similar
Strong programming skills in Python or Scala
Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices

Nice to Have

Experience with real-time or streaming data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming)
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience working in a healthcare or regulated industry
