GovSignals is looking for a Data Engineer to work directly with leadership and build the next generation of data infrastructure. You will own the end-to-end data lifecycle, from ingestion to governance, powering an AI-driven platform in a mission-driven, fast-growing startup shaping the future of government contracting.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect, cleanse, transform, and integrate diverse data sources.
- Design and implement ontologies, data models, and schemas for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of complex datasets.
- Oversee data governance, security, lineage, and lifecycle management to ensure regulatory compliance and data integrity.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define and uphold best practices for data management and governance.
- Innovate solutions to complex data challenges to enable advanced analytics in a fast-moving startup environment.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in SQL and ETL processing for data pipeline automation.
- Experience with OLAP databases (particularly ClickHouse or DuckDB) for large-scale analytics, including columnar storage and query optimization.
- Drive to propose and pioneer unique solutions to complex problems from design to implementation.
- Expertise in AI such as experience with LLMs and Embedding models and integrating these into large functional systems.
- Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills, combining technical communication with adaptability in a dynamic startup environment.
- Excitement to work with Data and help us redefine government contracting.
