Insight Enterprises is seeking a Data Engineer to design and implement ETL processes, migrate customer data pipelines to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and optimize data pipelines for performance and cost. This position is based in Chandler, Arizona with telecommuting permitted on a case-by-case basis.

What You'll Do

Design and implement ETL processes using appropriate cloud services for seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Migrate customer data pipelines from various cloud providers to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring secure and efficient data migration.
Perform data schema translation and transformation to guarantee compatibility with GCP storage and data warehouses such as BigQuery.
Establish data validation procedures to ensure the completeness and accuracy of migrated data.
Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost-effectiveness on GCP, leveraging tools like BigQuery.
Collaborate with customer data teams to facilitate a smooth transition to GCP, providing training and knowledge transfer.
Analyze a customer's existing cloud data landscape to assess migration complexity and plan the most effective approach.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Security, Computer Science, or a closely related field. An advanced degree is accepted if in the same field.
36 months of experience in the job offered, as a Software Developer, or in a closely related role.
Experience in building production-grade data solutions (relational and NoSQL).
Experience building data pipelines using modern data integration tools such as Fivetran, Striim, or Data Fusion.
Experience configuring and integrating with multiple Data Sources within and outside of Google.
Experience migrating entire cloud or on-prem assets to Google Cloud including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Databases, Business Intelligence, and Jobs.
Experience providing consultations for optimizing cost, defining methodology, and coming up with a future state architecture.
Experience writing software in at least two or more languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or Go.
Experience with systems monitoring/alerting, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
