Anthropic is looking for a Data Center Physical Security Lead to own the physical security posture for all of our data centers globally. You will architect defense-in-depth systems that scale from ground break through production, translating advanced threat models into operational excellence across steel, concrete, and integrated systems.

What You'll Do

Define and execute the end-to-end physical security roadmap for all Anthropic data centers globally.
Ensure integrated physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter security, across different facility types.
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Operations, and Facilities teams to embed security into the entire data center lifecycle.
Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
Partner with Compliance and Legal to ensure physical security systems meet relevant standards and customer requirements.
Develop physical security incident response protocols in partnership with internal teams.
Define KPIs that measure actual security posture, system effectiveness, vendor performance, incident metrics, and coverage gaps.

What We're Looking For

At least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

10+ years designing, deploying, and managing physical security for high-value compute infrastructure such as data centers, critical infrastructure, or sensitive facilities.
Experience working with construction teams to integrate security into the build process.
Ability to translate threat models into specific, measurable requirements.
Experience managing security programs across multiple facilities and geographies simultaneously.
Skill in holding vendors accountable while maintaining productive relationships.
Ability to communicate security requirements to engineers, executives, lawyers, and construction managers and secure buy-in from all stakeholders.
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to make decisions with incomplete information.
A drive to build from the ground up.
Relevant certifications such as PSP, CPP, CISSP, or CISM.
