Amherst Costa Rica International is looking for a Data Analyst to leverage large data sets and AI/ML techniques to build predictive models and deliver actionable business insights. You will apply your analytical and technical skills to solve complex problems.

What You'll Do

Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data
Develop and maintain data pipelines for accurate and efficient processing
Perform exploratory data analysis to understand patterns, trends, and relationships
Visualize data using tools like Tableau or Power BI to drive decision-making
Apply AI and machine learning algorithms to build predictive and prescriptive models
Train, tune, and evaluate machine learning models to optimize performance
Automate model deployment and update processes
Use statistical and ML techniques to forecast trends, identify anomalies, and detect patterns
Apply NLP and computer vision techniques for text and image analysis as needed
Communicate findings clearly through visualizations and reports to stakeholders
Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs
Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to business stakeholders
Stay updated on the latest trends in AI/ML and data analytics
Continuously evaluate and implement new techniques to improve analysis
Explore automation of repetitive tasks and improvement of business operations

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
2-5 years of experience in data analysis, data science, or machine learning roles
Hands-on experience managing and analyzing large datasets
Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages for data analysis and ML
Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
Familiarity with AI techniques, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and NLP
Strong knowledge of SQL for querying large data sets
Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data sets

Nice to Have

Experience deploying machine learning models to production environments
Knowledge of advanced analytics like time series forecasting, anomaly detection, or reinforcement learning
Experience in the real estate industry
Experience with big data platforms and tools like Hadoop or Spark
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data storage and processing
