About the Role

Amherst Costa Rica International is looking for a Data Analyst to leverage large data sets and AI/ML techniques to build predictive models and deliver actionable business insights. You will apply your analytical and technical skills to solve complex problems.

What You'll Do

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for accurate and efficient processing
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to understand patterns, trends, and relationships
  • Visualize data using tools like Tableau or Power BI to drive decision-making
  • Apply AI and machine learning algorithms to build predictive and prescriptive models
  • Train, tune, and evaluate machine learning models to optimize performance
  • Automate model deployment and update processes
  • Use statistical and ML techniques to forecast trends, identify anomalies, and detect patterns
  • Apply NLP and computer vision techniques for text and image analysis as needed
  • Communicate findings clearly through visualizations and reports to stakeholders
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business needs
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to business stakeholders
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in AI/ML and data analytics
  • Continuously evaluate and implement new techniques to improve analysis
  • Explore automation of repetitive tasks and improvement of business operations

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
  • 2-5 years of experience in data analysis, data science, or machine learning roles
  • Hands-on experience managing and analyzing large datasets
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages for data analysis and ML
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
  • Familiarity with AI techniques, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and NLP
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for querying large data sets
  • Expertise in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work with complex data sets

Nice to Have

  • Experience deploying machine learning models to production environments
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics like time series forecasting, anomaly detection, or reinforcement learning
  • Experience in the real estate industry
  • Experience with big data platforms and tools like Hadoop or Spark
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data storage and processing
