Independence Pet Holdings is hiring a Data Analyst to partner with stakeholders to define requirements, analyze data for trends and insights, and develop dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. You'll transform data into actionable intelligence to drive business initiatives forward.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and define business requirements for operational and analytical reports.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and documentation of data definitions.
- Establish business rules and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, visualizations, and reports using business intelligence tools.
- Use analytics and metrics to improve processes and provide data-driven forecasts for new business initiatives.
- Query and manipulate data using SQL to extract and transform data from databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ad-hoc data analysis requests.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Analyze large datasets, identify trends, and extract insights to support decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain data models and schemas to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
- Build and refine predictive and prescriptive models to support forecasting and optimization.
- Apply statistical techniques to analyze data and conduct hypothesis testing, when necessary.
- Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data integrity.
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of relevant data analysis experience.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Current or prior experience working with MS PowerBI.
- Experience using Snowflake or similar cloud-based platforms like Redshift or Azure SQL.
- Ability to work remotely (excluding MA, CA, WA, HI, AK, CO, CT, MT, NY, NJ).
- Preference for someone to work business hours in eastern or central US time zone.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
