This 12-month contract position is based in Oakbrook Terrace, IL, and centers on strengthening cybersecurity through proactive monitoring and rapid incident response. The analyst will design and manage systems that detect, analyze, and address security threats across IT environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity monitoring processes to ensure continuous protection
- Identify and analyze security incidents using event correlation and log analysis
- Respond to threats with structured, timely actions to minimize impact
- Configure and manage logging and security event platforms for optimal visibility
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or IT operations
- Bachelor’s degree in IT systems or a related field
- Experience configuring and managing tools such as Splunk, Industrial Defender, SolarWinds, Uptime, and CA Spectrum
- Proficiency in SNMP configuration across endpoints and monitoring systems
- Solid understanding of IP networking and the OSI model
- Background in general IT support tasks including patching, client updates, and remote administration
Technical Environment
