nbn co limited is looking for a Customer Field Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of nbn products and services, playing a key autonomous and customer-facing role. This position works predominantly inside customer premises on the Sunshine Coast, helping lift the digital capability of Australia by connecting homes and businesses.
What You'll Do
- Perform cabling installation, including copper and fibre, encompassing jointing, jumpering, and splicing.
- Install nbn Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) at customer premises.
- Diagnose and repair faults in nbn cabling networks and nbn CPE.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while working autonomously in multiple environments, both internal and external.
What We're Looking For
- Current & clean Driver’s License.
- Strong and personable communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to display honesty and integrity.
- Self-managed and motivated.
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (eligibility requirement).
Nice to Have
- Experience in communication cabling or an electrical background.
- Transferable skills keen to explore a new career in the telco sector.
