OPG is hiring a Credit Risk Manager

About the Role

OPG is seeking a Credit Risk Manager to play a key role in safeguarding our financial health and enabling sustainable growth. Reporting to the Senior Manager Treasury, you will conduct advanced counterparty evaluations, develop quantitative risk models, and manage credit exposures to power a brighter, electrified future.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct advanced counterparty evaluations using financial reports, management interviews, and rating agency information.
  • Perform complex credit analysis using metrics like Potential Future Exposure (PFE) and credit scoring models.
  • Develop, implement, and enhance credit risk models, limits, and mitigation strategies for Treasury, Supply Chain, and Energy Markets.
  • Continuously track and manage counterparty exposures, taking corrective actions when limits are approached.
  • Ensure accurate counterparty onboarding, credit limit adjustments, and validation of PFE calculations.
  • Prepare and present daily, quarterly, and regulatory credit risk reports.
  • Provide expert credit risk analysis and recommendations during contract negotiations for OPG subsidiaries.
  • Oversee the administration of collateral for trading agreements and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Generate and escalate exception reports for policy violations and participate in issue resolution.
  • Educate and advise stakeholders across the organization on credit risk matters.

What We're Looking For

  • A 4-year University Degree in Finance or a related field, plus at least 1 year of further concentrated study.

Team & Environment

This position reports to the Senior Manager Treasury, collaborating closely with key business areas including Treasury, Supply Chain, and Energy Markets.
