OpenAI is hiring a Corporate Security Operations Manager, APAC

OpenAI is looking for a Corporate Security Operations Manager, APAC to set the strategic direction and lead the execution of physical security operations across the region. In this role, you will collaborate closely with EMEA and Global teams, supporting all areas of CorpSec including Resilience, Executive Protection, Technology, International Operations, and Protective Intelligence.

What You'll Do

• Set strategic and operational direction for physical security programs across OpenAI’s APAC offices.
• Translate intelligence methodologies into corporate risk mitigation strategies around executive travel, IP protection, site security, and third-party/vendor vetting.
• Create and maintain access control policies, physical security standards, and procedures that foster safety and trust.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response programs with a focus on predictability and employee care.
• Consult on physical security planning for new office builds and expansions.
• Manage security initiatives in partnership with Security and Real Estate and Workplace teams.
• Implement solutions to address employee security concerns and requests with empathy and responsiveness.
• Lead and mentor CorpSec team members to support their growth and performance.
• Provide cultural understanding on what security should look and feel like in APAC offices.
• Understand the threat landscape in APAC, in particular broader risks such as terrorism & serious crime.

What We're Looking For

• 15–20 years of corporate security and/or law enforcement experience.
• Proven experience leading physical security programs in fast-paced environments.
• Experience advising senior and executive leadership.
• Strong knowledge of access control, guard force management, security operations centers, and workplace safety standards.
• Experience managing vendors, budgets, and contracts with a focus on service delivery and measurable performance.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and building scalable systems from the ground up.
• Familiarity with tools including emergency notification systems and travel risk intelligence platforms.
• A strong ethical foundation and a commitment to OpenAI’s mission and values.
