Micron is seeking a Core Design Engineer to contribute to the development of our industry-leading memory solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for block and sub-system level design, timing optimization, and layout supervision, working on sophisticated systems-level products that align with our vision to transform how the world uses information to enrich life.
What You'll Do
- Engage in block and sub-system level design and timing optimization, supervising their layout.
- Work with the Logic Team to explain and support array functionality.
- Collaborate with project teams to define the full-chip floorplan and how to fit and place core circuits at the full-chip level.
- Partner with Technology Development to finalize array waveforms.
- Heavily engage in circuit optimization from base cells to full-chip level using simulation tools.
- Mentor junior Design Engineers.
- Document block and sub-system level Micro-Architecture Spec (MAS) in accordance with industry standards.
What We're Looking For
- MS/PhD with 2 to 6 years or BS with 6 to 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Deep knowledge of CMOS device physics.
- Deep knowledge of FLASH array and reliability mechanisms.
- Deep knowledge of analog and digital simulation tools such as HSPICE, Fast SPICE, and ncVerilog.
- Strong verbal communication skills in English.
- Interest and motivation to work as an engineer on sophisticated systems-level products.
- Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with colleagues.
- Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and a team player.
- Understanding of computer architecture, storage devices, and NAND memory.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity and documentation.
- Ability to critically review AI-generated outputs using sound engineering judgment.
