Zeeco is hiring a Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate project engineering and sales documentation to define the extent of equipment to be provided.
  • Interpret customer requirements and apply them to the final supplied control system configuration.
  • Create P&ID diagrams in collaboration with project, sales, and process engineering teams to align with delivered system specifications.
  • Generate bills of materials for control panels, including enclosures, switches, relays, alarms, PLCs, and related components.
  • Produce ISA standard data sheets for transmitters measuring temperature, level, flow, and pressure, as well as for control valves, positioners, and analytical instruments.
  • Design control system drawings covering control panels, power distribution, junction boxes, and aviation warning lighting, including layouts and wiring schematics.
  • Develop internal arrangement, interconnection, and wiring diagrams for electrical and control components.
  • Construct ISA-formatted logic diagrams for programmable logic controllers and distributed control systems.
  • Compile cable bills of materials, routing plans, and installation schedules.
  • Conduct pre-shipment inspections and functional testing of control equipment, sometimes with customer representatives present.

  • Occasional travel to assist the Zeeco sales group or assist the customer with commissioning of the Zeeco supplied control system.
  • Travel includes domestic as well as overseas destinations.
