Contractor: Senior Backend Software Engineering Professional (CORE) Remote - Latin American Countries Seeking a Contractor from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Mexico for Senior Backend Software Engineering Services. Scope of Services: - Collaborate as a Backend Software Engineer to deliver high-quality solutions for Core curriculum product - Work in dynamic environment manipulating diverse content and text data - Extend Python service for content delivery to downstream systems and interfaces - Contribute significantly to software development team - Write quality code and automated tests - Independently deliver features - Provide strategic input for project scoping and design - Work with lead engineer to organize sprint workflows - Partner with Engineering and Product Management to refine goals into clear work items Required Skills & Experience: - 5+ years software development experience in data models, backend services, and SaaS APIs - 5+ years professional experience with Python and relational databases (Postgres/MySQL) - Open source and AWS experience preferred - Advanced understanding of developer tooling and unit testing - Expertise in developing scalable REST APIs - Fullstack team experience preferred - Passionate about collaborative, inclusive work environments - Strong ability to identify requirements early - Skilled in creating performant, scalable backend systems - Capable of writing resilient, testable code - Consistent in delivering sprint commitments Note: This contract role will not qualify for company-sponsored benefits. #LI-Remote
