Responsibilities
- Define and deliver competitive and replicable solutions tailored to the consumer electronics industry.
- Deeply understand customer needs and articulate a strong value proposition in this context.
- Monitor customer projects within your vertical application to ensure mutual alignment and value delivery.
- Lead discovery interviews with customers, validate solutions, and expand product scope to cover a bigger part of the design process.
- Lead and participate hands-on into a small cross-functional team of CAD/CAE/ML engineers from prototype to production-ready solutions.
- Align vertical initiatives with company strategy, while bringing back industry insights to shape the global roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years in engineering
- Industry experience in design, simulation, and validation of electronic devices and components, with a strong understanding of mechanical and thermal reliability challenges in compact electronic systems — including drop and impact performance, thermal management of chips and batteries, vibration, and environmental durability
- Strong understanding of the engineering workflows, tools, and data used across CAD, CAE, and PLM environments related to consumer electronics design (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, ANSYS Mechanical, Simcenter Flotherm, Icepak, Abaqus, and Teamcenter etc...), covering domains such as drop and vibration analysis, thermal management, structural integrity, fatigue analysis, and environmental durability.
- Hands-on prototyping with CAD / CAE / ML scripting to de-risk ideas quickly.
- Python proficiency
- Exposure to end-to-end engineering design processes: requirements, concept, modeling and simulation, validation, release.
- Exposure to data-driven engineering.
- Pragmatic approach to problem solving: focus on impact, not buzzwords. Willing to think out of the box, look at engineering from a whole new angle and break the rules.
