Parity is hiring a Cloud Security Engineer

About the Role

Parity is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to help secure our innovative organization by focusing on outcomes and partnering with multiple teams. This is a crucial role where your understanding of people, systems, and security will allow you to advocate for best practices while facilitating smooth development and implementation processes.

What You'll Do

  • Advise Infra Engineering and IT teams on security topics using a risk-based approach.
  • Automate security controls and harden developer and IaC processes, secure the supply chain, and manage related metrics and monitoring.
  • Harden networks, VM & container images, and systems, and address cloud issues and misconfigurations.
  • Manage Endpoint Security, Infrastructure IAM, SIEM, Threat intelligence, and common misconfigurations.
  • Organize and perform infrastructure penetration testing and collaborate with external parties on those tests.
  • Pick tools, methods, and approaches to maintain and improve the company's security stance, with a strong preference for FOSS tooling.
  • Write and enable adoption of company-wide security standards and guidelines, and implement tools and automation for their deployment.
  • Mentor other team members on all matters related to security, IT, and infrastructure engineering.

What We're Looking For

  • Focused on outcomes and outcome-based delivery.
  • Ability to partner with multiple teams to tackle issues, clarify requirements, communicate, and convince stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with a Linux-based tech stack, including managed VMs, SSH, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Github, Gitlab, ArgoCD, and Image registries.
  • Experience with various cloud platforms including Google Cloud and non-managed providers.

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of blockchain technology and associated tooling such as wallets, keys, RPC nodes, and indexers.
