Parity is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to help secure our innovative organization by focusing on outcomes and partnering with multiple teams. This is a crucial role where your understanding of people, systems, and security will allow you to advocate for best practices while facilitating smooth development and implementation processes.

What You'll Do

Advise Infra Engineering and IT teams on security topics using a risk-based approach.
Automate security controls and harden developer and IaC processes, secure the supply chain, and manage related metrics and monitoring.
Harden networks, VM & container images, and systems, and address cloud issues and misconfigurations.
Manage Endpoint Security, Infrastructure IAM, SIEM, Threat intelligence, and common misconfigurations.
Organize and perform infrastructure penetration testing and collaborate with external parties on those tests.
Pick tools, methods, and approaches to maintain and improve the company's security stance, with a strong preference for FOSS tooling.
Write and enable adoption of company-wide security standards and guidelines, and implement tools and automation for their deployment.
Mentor other team members on all matters related to security, IT, and infrastructure engineering.

What We're Looking For

Focused on outcomes and outcome-based delivery.
Ability to partner with multiple teams to tackle issues, clarify requirements, communicate, and convince stakeholders.
Comfortable with a Linux-based tech stack, including managed VMs, SSH, VPNs, and firewalls.
Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Github, Gitlab, ArgoCD, and Image registries.
Experience with various cloud platforms including Google Cloud and non-managed providers.

Nice to Have

Understanding of blockchain technology and associated tooling such as wallets, keys, RPC nodes, and indexers.
