Weaviate is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable, automated, and resilient infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP. This role is central to building the robust platform that powers our open-source creativity.

What You'll Do

Design, implement, and maintain scalable, automated, and resilient infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Provision cloud resources efficiently using tools like Pulumi and Terraform, aligning with infrastructure as code practices.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Leverage tools like Istio to manage traffic, monitor services, and implement robust security measures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify infrastructure needs, propose solutions, and implement best practices.
Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve cloud infrastructure and deployment strategies.

What We're Looking For

Profound experience in creating, operating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, and GCP.
Strong software engineering skills, with experience in a strongly-typed, compiled language, preferably GoLang.
Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Pulumi or similar.
A solid understanding of distributed microservice systems, including high availability, scalability, and zero downtime deployments.
Experience in CI/CD, with the ability to develop and operate continuously deployed applications in production using Kubernetes.
An understanding for monitoring and observability, leveraging Grafana and Prometheus, to make data-driven decisions.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex technical details into clear and concise language.
Independent work style, taking full ownership of responsibilities with a proactive approach.
