NICE is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to provide customer-focused application support and lead client projects on our Cloud platform. In this role, you'll join a global team dedicated to executing beyond high standards in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform operational duties including application server health monitoring and service recycling.
- Identify and resolve operational issues such as batch failures, network problems, and client data feed errors.
- Monitor server performance, memory utilization, CPU, file systems, databases, and batch jobs.
- Maintain operational documentation, including incident tracking and run books.
- Produce metric reports including daily production status.
- Review client support tickets and requests under service SLAs.
- Resolve level 2 and level 3 issues (application, database, and data center related). Document issues in the customer support portal.
- Provide on-call off-hour support and work during non-prime shift hours.
What We're Looking For
- 4 to 6 years of experience in application/production support with Cloud-Based hosting administration, management, and performance tuning in a high-availability SLA environment.
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS.
- Experience with Unix, Linux, Windows, Tomcat, SSH, and scripting.
- Proficiency with SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL databases.
- Experience with and understanding of complex process and data flow.
- Ability to effectively and proactively communicate (both written and verbal) to various Product groups and clients daily.
- Experience with application debugging, performance, and scalability.
- Familiarity with standard application security compliance best practices.
- Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processes.
- Proven ability to work successfully independently and with other team members and developers.
- Ability to multi-task and provide rapid support in production environments.
- Must be able to provide on-call off-hour support and work during non-prime shift hours.
