About the Role

evoila is looking for a Cloud Native Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team. You will take on responsibility in customer projects after a thorough induction, focusing on designing, implementing, and troubleshooting modern, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions centered around Kubernetes platforms on vSphere.

What You'll Do

  • Gather and analyze customer requirements for vSphere Supervisor with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
  • Create technical concepts focused on Kubernetes platforms on vSphere.
  • Conduct strategy workshops and provide consulting on architecture and design based on vSphere Kubernetes Service.
  • Develop implementation roadmaps based on strategic decisions.
  • Implement designed solutions, including deployment of namespaces, network policies, pods, and cluster storage.
  • Troubleshoot issues in Kubernetes environments managed through vSphere Supervisor.
  • Design and automate Service Catalogs based on VCF Automation.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–4 years of professional experience in Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) environments.
  • Proven experience with VMware vSphere Supervisor (vSphere Kubernetes Service) or similar Kubernetes platforms in a consulting role, delivering solution design and implementation.
  • Hands-on knowledge of vSphere Supervisor, including managing Namespaces, Supervisor Services, network policies, storage, security, Harbor image registries, certificate management, and ingress solutions like Contour or Nginx.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, collaborative mindset, and customer orientation.
  • Fluent in Spanish and excellent technical English.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation solutions integrated with vSphere Supervisor and vSphere Kubernetes Service.
  • Knowledge of Tanzu Mission Control and Velero for backup.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI or GitHub Actions integrated into delivery pipelines for Kubernetes.
  • Experience in automation tools.
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions for containerized workloads and virtual machines.
  • Participation in migration projects for containerized workloads.
  • Experience automating data centers and Kubernetes environments using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, or Helm.
  • Ability to work according to ITIL best practices and agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
