BCBSNE provides three work arrangements for Omaha-based employees: in-office, hybrid, and remote. Remote work can be conducted from Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Texas. We're recruiting a Cloud Data Engineer who will be instrumental in revolutionizing coverage delivery for members and their families. In this role, you'll architect and implement adaptable, cloud-native solutions that streamline enrollment processes—ensuring precise, rapid coverage access. The Cloud Data Engineer supports developing data platforms that enhance consumer interactions and deliver exceptional experiences. This position involves managing ingestion frameworks, constructing data pipelines for processing extensive poly-structured data, executing model deployments, comprehending strategic data roadmaps, and driving their implementation. What you'll do: - Construct and refine data pipelines using advanced cloud technologies, automation, and AI - Manage complex data reconciliation ensuring enrollment accuracy - Optimize customer onboarding workflows - Support group enrollment activities emphasizing reliability and continuous improvement - Collaborate across technical and business teams to maintain data integrity - Design scalable data processing pipelines utilizing Python, SQL, and Databricks - Develop Azure-based solutions including orchestration and automation tools - Implement secure data storage strategies - Utilize Informatica Cloud for data integration - Support data modeling and enterprise system interoperability - Resolve data integration challenges efficiently - Apply ETL/ELT best practices with AI-enhanced orchestration Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field - Minimum 2 years progressive experience - Advanced Python and SQL programming skills - Proficiency with Databricks and Azure services - API integration expertise - CI/CD and DevOps knowledge - Cloud data governance understanding - AI/ML deployment capabilities - Azure AI service experience - Enrollment process familiarity Preferred Qualifications: - Modern data architecture knowledge - Automation framework experience - Visualization tool proficiency - Data management background We believe diverse perspectives create superior workplace environments and innovative solutions for our members.
