Responsibilities
- Designs and deploys enterprise-wide Storage Area Network (SAN) systems built on EMC technology, supporting multi-site, multi-platform environments with fiber channel connectivity to high-capacity storage arrays.
- Ensures SAN solutions address performance, scalability, replication, disaster recovery, backup storage, and data restoration requirements.
- Establishes long-term strategy and direction for SAN and backup infrastructure.
- Translates client storage needs into scalable, enterprise-grade implementations, including deployment and configuration.
- Manages storage capacity forecasting and delivers utilization reports across the environment.
- Creates standardized procedures for storage setup, optimization, replication, virtualization, security, and disaster resilience.
- Diagnoses and resolves advanced SAN infrastructure problems, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Plans, reviews, and supports scheduled maintenance and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Produces technical documentation, tiered storage strategies, cloud storage roadmaps, and financial models.
- Maintains and enhances SAN systems as part of a team to guarantee continuous, around-the-clock availability.
- Designs and oversees private cloud infrastructure architecture and operations.
- Executes security functions such as documentation, vulnerability assessments, patching, audit support, and compliance reviews.
