About the Role
The selected candidate will manage civil engineering aspects of airport development projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning and design of civil components for airport facilities
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables for aviation projects
- Coordinate with surveyors, designers, and technical staff
- Prepare engineering calculations and technical specifications
- Review construction documents for compliance with standards
- Serve as client liaison throughout project lifecycle
- Oversee permitting and regulatory submittals for airport work
- Conduct site visits and construction observation
- Ensure designs meet FAA and local aviation requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development
- Develop conceptual layouts and site improvements
- Participate in proposal development and client meetings
- Manage consultant coordination on complex projects
- Review grading, drainage, and utility plans
- Apply sustainable design practices to infrastructure work
- Support environmental documentation for airport projects
- Track project progress and report to internal leadership
- Ensure quality control in engineering deliverables
- Utilize engineering software for design and analysis
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation
- Facilitate communication between design teams and contractors
- Address field issues during construction phases
- Stay current with aviation industry standards and codes
- Promote safety in design and construction practices
- Assist in risk assessment and project planning
