University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture is hiring a Certified Procedural Coding Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates health record documentation to confirm it sufficiently supports all diagnoses and procedures linked to assigned codes
  • Utilizes expertise in anatomy, physiology, disease processes, pharmacology, and medical terminology to accurately assign diagnostic and procedural codes
  • Stays current with ICD-10 and CPT coding classification systems and updates
  • Conducts data entry for charges in both hospital and physician patient accounting systems for outpatient clinic visits
  • Manages daily workflow to ensure all assigned tasks are reviewed and prioritized effectively
  • Completes additional responsibilities as directed by supervisors
