Coperniq is hiring a Sr Backend Engineer (Ruby on Rails) to join the Celara product team. You will build and maintain business-critical internal applications for a US-based team, requiring comfort with ownership and ambiguity in a high-delivery environment.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain production Ruby on Rails applications
- Own features end-to-end, from requirements to deployment
- Collaborate closely with distributed engineering and product teams
- Participate in sprint planning, refinement, and continuous delivery
- Actively communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs in a remote setup
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience as a backend or full-stack engineer
- Strong, hands-on Ruby on Rails experience in production environments
- Experience working on internal tools or high-impact business systems
- Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of assigned work
- Comfortable in fast-moving, agile teams with minimal hand-holding
- Strong English communication skills
Nice to Have
- Frontend exposure with React and TypeScript
- Experience in data-heavy or operational systems
- Prior work with US-based teams and time-zone overlap
