M&T Bank is seeking a CEF Transaction Analyst II to coordinate, document, and initiate the funding process for a variety of commercial equipment lease and loan products. You will play a key role in structuring transactions and ensuring adherence to internal policies to protect the Bank's legal interests and profitability.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate, document, and initiate the funding process for commercial equipment lease and loan products.
- Assist sales staff and internal customers in structuring and documenting customized transactions.
- Adhere to and identify risk and regulatory standards, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Coordinate all aspects for commercial and municipal customers for various lease types, loans, and master documents.
- Support participations and syndications for projects including aircraft, rail, and solar or renewable energy.
- Review and interpret credit approvals to understand requirements for documentation and funding.
- Assist with legal document negotiations and work with internal and external counsel.
- Review and approve standard transaction documents for funding and provide guidance for non-standard scenarios.
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Communicate with other Bank departments and third-party vendors to obtain required information.
- Serve as a resource to others in the group on product knowledge and procedures.
- Contribute to team success by implementing solutions, leading discussions, building procedures, and sharing information.
- Manage stress, participate in a culture of belonging, and reflect the M&T Bank brand.
- Complete annual compliance training and other required training classes.
- Authorize pricing exception variances under certain circumstances.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.

- A Bachelor's degree with 3 years of customer service experience in a related field or a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience.
- Strong verbal and professional written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with legal counsel, customers, and all levels of management.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Ability to work in a unique, collaborative, and open environment.
- Ability to assess ideas and gain support from others to adhere to Bank policies.
- A highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter who is well-organized.
- Ability to manage, prioritize, and work on multiple complex projects or tasks daily.
- Thorough knowledge of computer systems, leasing products, workflow management software, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, English, Law, or Tax.
- Experience in a Leasing, Finance, Banking, Mortgage Company, or Legal environment.
- Thorough knowledge of documentation flow software.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
- Notary Public certification.
Benefits & Compensation
- Annual Salary Range: $60,890.34 - $101,483.90 (USD)
