Junior Adventures Group (JAG) is looking for a Casual School Activity Leader to join our team. Our incredible, professional teams make a positive difference in children's lives across the UK every single day. In this casual role, you will be responsible for planning and executing structured activities, ensuring child safety, and providing care during before-school, lunchtime, and after-school hours.
What You'll Do
- Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, and structured play.
- Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
- Create an inclusive and fun atmosphere for the children in our care, from picking them up from school to safely delivering them back to their parents or caregivers.
- Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
- Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
- Provide refreshments for the kids while maintaining our high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
- Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies and keep all relevant documentation, including accident and incident forms, up to date.
- Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out processes and procedures are followed for all children in our care.
- Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
- Keep all information and documents related to the children in our care confidential and secure.
- Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.
- Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation.
- Inspire our team members and the children in our care to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.
What We're Looking For
- Compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy.
- Eligibility for a DBS check.
- Two references: one from your most recent employer and one from a childcare setting if applicable.
