The City of Saskatoon is looking for a Cashier-Receptionist to join the Community Services department. Under the supervision of the Clerk 10, you will be the welcoming face for customers at our outdoor pools and Nutrien Playland, performing key reception and admission functions.
What You'll Do
- Process general admission and ticket sales using an automated point-of-sale system.
- Receive customers entering the facilities and provide responsive service.
- Provide program and service information, including schedules, policy explanations, and facility rental details.
- Respond to customer complaints and enquiries according to established policy.
- Balance shift revenue, prepare bank deposits, and complete cash collection reports.
- Forward rental and event inquiries to the supervisor for processing.
- Enter admission usage and revenue summaries into computer databases.
- Perform general office functions such as filing and word processing.
- Assist supervisory staff in providing shift orientation for new team members.
What We're Looking For
- Grade 12 education.
- One year of related cash-handling experience in a customer service environment.
- Knowledge of accepted procedures for handling cash, balancing transactions, and completing revenue reports.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Ability to interact with customers and remain calm during high-volume periods.
- Ability to provide responsive customer service, conveying confidence and competence.
- Ability to maintain records and make accurate arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships.
- Skill in operating office equipment and automated systems, including a programmed cash register.
- Acceptable current Criminal Record Check (CRC) upon offer of employment.

You will be part of the Division of Community Services within the Recreation and Community Development Department, reporting directly to the Clerk 10.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position based at the City of Saskatoon's Outdoor Pools & Nutrien Playland facilities.
