Royal London is looking for a BPA Administrator to join our BPA Operations team within the Commercial function. You will play a key role in supporting our Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) policyholders and defined benefit pension scheme members, ensuring they receive an exceptional service delivered with accuracy and empathy.
What You'll Do
- Deliver high-quality administration for BPA policies and DB pensions in line with legislation, scheme rules and policy terms.
- Process transfer values, calculate retirement and death benefits, and support trivial commutation and payment activities.
- Maintain accurate member data and support existence checks, tracing requirements and production of policyholder or member correspondence.
- Assist with reporting, pension increases, benefit statements and wider BPA operational tasks including onboarding new schemes and buy-in/buyout activities.
- Support vulnerable customers and ensure outcomes are delivered in line with FCA Consumer Duty.
- Contribute to governance and oversight, including attendance at meetings and preparation of written or verbal reports.
What We're Looking For
- A good understanding of BPA and/or defined benefit pension scheme administration.
- Knowledge of pensions legislation, including awareness of Irish pensions law.
- Strong numeracy skills with the ability to interpret complex information accurately.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
- Confident communication skills, able to support policyholders, trustees and other stakeholders with clarity and empathy.
- Comfort working with automated administration systems, with strong PC skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
