Constance Hospitality Management is hiring a Bar Waiter to join the team at Constance Le Chaland, a luxury resort in Mauritius. This role is central to delivering an exceptional guest experience through expert beverage service, meticulous bar maintenance, and adherence to the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
What You'll Do
- Perform all bar tasks according to established standards.
- Prepare all cocktails following standardized presentation with creativity.
- Maintain sufficient supplies of stock for daily operations.
- Assist the management team with monthly bar inventory.
- Identify slow-moving beverages and propose new ideas.
- Observe guest experiences and anticipate their needs.
- Maintain operation equipment and manage repairs.
- Apply all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain grooming standards and punctuality.
- Discuss guest preferences with co-workers.
- Be aware of standards, policies, and alcohol-serving regulations.
- Attend daily pre-service briefings on time.
- Ensure cleanliness and perform opening and closing duties.
- Apply procedures for fire safety and emergencies.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by department management.
- Comply with core and culture standards.
- Actively participate in resort activities.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar hotel position, including training.
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.
- Superb multitasking skills.
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
- A good memory.
- Fluency in English or another language, with strong written and verbal communication.
Nice to Have
- Middle or Secondary Education plus additional training or certificates in the relevant field.
- Proven experience working in top luxury resorts.
- Experience working in remote island locations.
- Knowledge of a second language.
