iFood is seeking a Backend Software Engineer (Golang Specialist) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of microservices that power our core business logic, from design to operation. You'll also contribute to building frameworks and tools to optimize backend performance, ensuring high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.

What You'll Do

Design, code, test, operate, and troubleshoot production services running in the cloud, particularly AWS.
Participate in prioritizing product evolution based on data to drive the best business value.
Solve challenges related to scalability, maintainability, and reliability in a distributed environment.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience designing, developing, and maintaining microservices using Golang.
Experience with asynchronous communication and concurrency challenges in distributed systems, specifically with Kafka.
Passion for software development, object-oriented and functional programming.
Hands-on experience with automated testing, distributed systems, and secure development concepts.
Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases, including queries and data modeling.
Knowledge of Linux, infrastructure as code, networking, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Previous experience operating applications that support millions of transactions per day, 24/7.
