HelloFresh is looking for a Backend Engineer to join the Payments Offering squad. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining core backend services for payment integrations, working closely across teams to ensure seamless and secure payment processing for customers globally.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the design, development, deployment, and operations of payment systems and integrations.
- Actively participate as a collaborative member within autonomous, cross-functional agile teams.
- Develop a solid understanding of HelloFresh's payment infrastructure and architecture.
- Work with modern technologies to build scalable and secure payment systems that serve millions of customers globally.
What We're Looking For
- Solid backend development skills in a microservices architecture, with proficiency in Golang, Java, or Kotlin.
- Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and exposure to modern deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with software design and testing methodologies such as TDD, BDD, and distributed system patterns.
- Experience across the development lifecycle—from writing unit and integration tests to deploying and monitoring distributed applications.
- Proficiency in working with relational databases.
- Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in the Payments domain and working with PSPs & Payment methods.
