Constructor is hiring a Backend Engineer focused on Search Features & APIs. In this remote role, you will improve the e-commerce experience for hundreds of millions of users by developing features across the entire search stack, from backend systems to customer-facing APIs.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with product managers to plan and deliver features impacting the entire stack from search backend to customer-facing APIs.
- Build rich product discovery experiences and develop features that define how users interact with search.
- Determine technologies to make backend performance and database communication blazing fast.
- Craft testing strategies to ensure 100% uptime and customer satisfaction.
- Incorporate customer feedback and contribute to all layers of feature development.
- Help others around you grow as developers and be successful.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with server-side engineering.
- Experience implementing beautiful and inherently consistent web APIs.
- Experience at a high-traffic website designing highly available and robust systems.
- Experience with relational databases and distributed systems.
- Ability to work independently.
