Omio is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Global Expansion team. You will play a key role in building the products, platforms, and capabilities that integrate with hundreds of transportation providers worldwide, innovating for scale and efficiency to realize our vision of distributing global travel inventory.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and scale the provider platform.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of the Coverage Platform and related systems.
- Integrate new transportation providers and manage existing partnerships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and execute on business goals.
- Mentor junior engineers and help them grow professionally.
- Drive technology adoption, improve development processes, and help define the product roadmap.
What We're Looking For
- An engineering degree in computer science or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- Significant experience in Java and building scalable, high-performance applications.
- A strong background in software design, Continuous Delivery, and cloud infrastructure.
- Familiarity with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- A passion for software craftsmanship and agile development.
- A team-player with a focus on mentoring and collaboration.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and approaches.
