Cross Border Talents is hiring a Backend Engineer to join our Compliance Team. You will design and build services with a focus on maintainability, performance, and security, helping to create a powerful, easy-to-use global payment platform.
What You'll Do
- Build and enhance the core platform for global payments.
- Deliver new features and improvements.
- Work closely with Frontend and Mobile Engineering teams to integrate UI.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers throughout the development life cycle.
- Help the team stay current with the tech stack ecosystem.
- Write high-quality code with a focus on performance and scalability.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Deep, practical experience with multiple programming languages and their ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and/or non-relational databases like Redis.
- Strong understanding of web semantics.
- Knowledge of revision control systems.
- Basic knowledge of standard development pipelines, including build and automation tools.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude for cross-functional work.
Nice to Have
- Experience developing APIs for products.
- Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, NSQ, Pulsar, RabbitMQ).
- Experience integrating third-party APIs.
- A proven record of working with performance budgets.
- Fluency in cryptocurrencies or digital assets.
- Community engagement through talks, certifications, or blog posts.
- Contributions to open source projects.
