About the Role
You will help build and scale backend systems, contributing to high-impact projects as the product and service offerings expand. This role is ideal for someone passionate about solving complex technical problems in a transparent, collaborative culture focused on innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices primarily using Kotlin.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams across Platform, Services, SMB, and other domains to deliver innovative solutions.
- Evaluate system performance and implement improvements to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Engage in code reviews, post-mortem analyses, and provide technical mentorship to fellow engineers.
- Take initiative in reducing technical debt and guiding teams through complex technical challenges and system migrations.
Requirements
- Proven experience with server-side programming, particularly in Kotlin, and building distributed systems and microservices in cloud environments such as AWS and Kubernetes.
- Strong familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL, testing frameworks including JUnit and Testcontainers, and observability tools such as Grafana.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a collaborative attitude with a focus on mentoring and developing team members.
- Track record of leading large-scale projects, navigating ambiguity, and upholding high standards for code quality and system reliability.
- Enthusiasm for innovation and delivering meaningful technical solutions in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
