INCA – Insurance Core Automation is looking for a Backend Developer to join our growing team. You will develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI, collaborating closely with product, design, and AI/ML teams to build new features and integrate ML models into our platform.

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Python and FastAPI
Build new features and endpoints in close collaboration with our product and design teams
Help scale our backend services and infrastructure, including managing tasks and jobs
Work closely with our AI/ML engineer to integrate ML models and our LLM pipeline into production
Design and implement robust data models in our Postgres database
Contribute to our CI/CD pipeline for automated testing and deployment
Implement monitoring and observability systems for our backend and AI components

What We're Looking For

Solid professional experience in backend development with Python, ideally using FastAPI
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases, including data modeling and performance optimization
Experience integrating ML models or LLM-based applications into production environments
Hands-on experience building and maintaining testing suites
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (like AWS or GCP), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD principles
A collaborative mindset, initiative, and motivation to work in a dynamic startup environment
