Atimi is seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer for a fully remote position within Canada. You will be a proactive contributor within project teams, helping to guide development through the entire lifecycle while ensuring high standards for code quality, architecture, and DevOps practices.

What You'll Do

Collaborate proactively within the project team to guide the product through the entire development lifecycle.
Ensure code quality and governance, and that engineers follow established patterns and designs.
Plan, estimate, and contribute to architecture, coding, and development.
Refactor and continuously improve the codebases.
Communicate technical decisions thoroughly to the global team.
Take responsibility for releases and contribute to the ongoing support of live applications.
Get involved with deployment and operation of software (DevOps).
Deliver fair outcomes for customers and maintain a high level of professional conduct.

What We're Looking For

6+ years of strong Java development experience.
2+ years of experience with data cleansing and extraction for ETL processes.
2+ years of experience with Amazon Redshift.
2+ years of experience with AWS Step Functions and Lambda.
4+ years of experience with the AWS cloud environment.
3+ years of experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience using and/or configuring CI/CD pipelines.
Experience building scalable software services (e.g., serverless, microservices).
Strong Object-Oriented Design skills and knowledge of design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders to define and refine requirements.
Strong written and verbal English skills.
