Personal Pay is hiring a Senior Backend Developer for our Customer Engagement tribe. In this role, you will join an autonomous team to build impactful features, contribute directly to technical decisions, and help shape the user experience.
What You'll Do
- Work within an autonomous cross-functional team to achieve project goals.
- Operate in an agile environment utilizing the latest methodologies.
- Build features, collaborating on their end-to-end design with your team.
- Interact directly with UX design teams to implement an excellent user experience.
- Participate in technical solution analysis and decision-making with relevant domain leaders.
- Collaborate with various teams across the organization.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of prior software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience with NodeJS using ExpressJS and/or NestJS.
- Experience working with a Domain Driven Design approach.
- Practical knowledge of concepts like bounded context, aggregate, and value object.
- 2+ years of experience working with microservices architectures.
- Mastery of ES6 and NodeJS.
- Development using design patterns and following good programming practices.
- Knowledge of unit testing.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with a frontend JavaScript library like ReactJS.
- Experience in distributed and cloud environments (AWS desirable).
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
