Responsibilities
- Build and sustain server-side components that support application features, process user requests, and manage data flow.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs to enable seamless communication between internal systems and external services.
- Construct and refine database structures, craft high-performance queries, and uphold data accuracy and protection.
- Engage in code review processes, troubleshoot implementations, and keep pace with evolving software practices.
- Work closely with front-end engineers to integrate back-end logic with user-facing interfaces.
- Enforce security protocols to safeguard confidential information and block unauthorized system access.
- Support the growth and efficiency of back-end infrastructure through performance tuning and scalable design.
- Produce and update technical documentation for back-end systems and API endpoints.
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and improve system architecture, interfaces, and data models within an agile framework.
- Take part in engineering working groups to assess and advance software deliverables including system behavior, requirements, test strategies, UI/UX prototypes, functional decomposition, interface specifications, and data models.
