Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Back End Developer to join an agile and highly collaborative team working on cloud-based solutions. In this remote role, you will focus on building and optimizing back-end services, REST APIs, and workflow automation within a scalable and secure infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain cloud-native applications.
• Build secure, scalable, and observable services and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret user stories and contribute to technical design.
• Write and review code while participating actively in team discussions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues proactively.
• Deploy services using container pipelines and contribute to continuous integration workflows.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of experience in Go.
• 5+ years of experience in database integration, including data ingestion, querying, and document updates.
• 3+ years of experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and scalable application design principles.
• Proficient in SQL and document databases.
• Ability to work independently and within a team, offering and receiving constructive feedback.
• Availability during Eastern Time (ET) working hours.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Node.js, C#, or Rust.
• Background in media or entertainment industries.
• Experience with video engineering tools like AWS MediaConvert or FFMpeg.
• Familiarity with workflow engines such as SDVI Rally, Airflow, Step Functions, Argo Workflows, or Jenkins.
