Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance Azure DevOps environments, including projects, repositories, pipelines, and agent configurations.
- Set up and maintain GitHub Enterprise settings, branch protections, identity integrations, and security policies.
- Oversee continuous integration and deployment pipelines, build templates, variable groups, and automated release processes.
- Ensure stable performance of build agents, runners, self-hosted instances, and integrated systems.
- Develop and enforce project templates, repository rules, and standardized branching models.
- Control access permissions, service connections, and environment restrictions across development tools.
- Enforce code security measures such as branch rules, secrets handling, and pull request controls.
- Collaborate with Security and Infrastructure teams to meet internal standards and regulatory obligations.
- Implement secure DevOps methods, including minimal access rights, artifact oversight, and hardened pipelines.
- Educate development teams on effective source control, branching, and automation techniques.
- Provide advanced technical support for issues related to Azure DevOps and GitHub, including builds and deployments.
- Produce documentation, operational guides, onboarding materials, and knowledge base content.
- Assist teams transitioning from outdated systems to Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using PowerShell, CLI, and REST APIs.
- Create standardized pipeline templates and YAML libraries to ensure consistent deployment processes.
- Identify ways to simplify developer workflows, minimize manual effort, and increase efficiency.
- Improve the speed and reliability of builds, pipelines, agent pools, and repository layouts.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, security, infrastructure, and application teams to support delivery pipelines.
- Work with Agile Delivery Leads to align tooling functionality with project objectives and roadmaps.
- Coordinate with cloud, network, and security teams on connectivity, authentication, and environment setup.
- Engage with vendors and Microsoft support for issue escalation and resolution.
- Monitor system health, pipeline metrics, agent usage, and repository conditions.
- Maintain logs, audit records, and operational documentation for compliance and management.
- Generate reports and dashboards tracking tool usage, performance, reliability, and governance compliance.
- Support version upgrades, license management, and backlog enhancements for all development tools
Compensation
$140-170k annually
