Synchrony is hiring an AVP, Endpoint Privileged Access Engineer - Delinea Privilege Manager

About the Role

What You'll Do

Oversee the configuration and ongoing maintenance of Delinea Privilege Manager to enforce privileged access policies on Windows and macOS workstations. Implement least-privilege frameworks that limit standing administrative rights through elevation control, application control, and delegated privileges, ensuring users maintain productivity without compromising security.

Collaborate with endpoint engineering, security, and application teams to integrate new use cases and applications into the privileged access environment. Resolve policy conflicts, troubleshoot access issues, and support operational workflows to maintain business continuity.

Monitor privileged activity across endpoints to detect policy gaps, non-compliant configurations, or risky behaviors. Lead efforts to refine controls, improve auditability, and scale solutions to meet growing enterprise demands. Maintain detailed documentation for policies, incident resolution, and operational procedures.

Provide on-call support for critical incidents affecting privileged access and participate in after-hours activities as needed. Contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives to standardize and expand endpoint privilege management capabilities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience administering Delinea Privilege Manager in large-scale environments supporting both Windows and macOS endpoints.
  • Firm grasp of least-privilege principles, endpoint security mechanisms, and policy enforcement strategies.
  • Experience troubleshooting enterprise endpoint systems and supporting operational workflows at scale.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards related to access control, audit trails, and policy enforcement in highly regulated industries.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-demand environment and adapt processes to support organizational growth.
  • Flexibility to travel as business needs require.
  • Must be 18 years or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must pass a drug test, background check, and fingerprinting as part of onboarding.
  • Must meet the eligibility requirements under Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
  • Legal right to work in the United States; sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this role.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work model with the option to work remotely or from an office near one of our Hubs.
  • Required in-person engagement for key activities such as team meetings, training, and cultural events.
  • More than half of employees participate in Employee Resource Groups, fostering inclusion and professional development.
  • Inclusive, supportive environment that values diverse perspectives and lived experiences.
  • Access to tools and resources designed to support career advancement.
  • Eligibility for an annual bonus tied to individual and company performance.
