The position focuses on ensuring software quality for a web-based financial advisory platform through automated testing and close collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining test scripts, analyzing project requirements, and contributing to quality control processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely delivery, conduct performance testing, generate metrics, and produce relevant reports
- Analyze project requirements, specifications, and product functionality to develop quality assurance documentation
- Create and manage test data needed for validation processes
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve automated test scripts
- Record, assess, and document test outcomes, including discrepancies from expected results
- Interpret business requirements and align system architecture accordingly
- Work with team members to adhere to best practices and project standards
- Engage in communication with client-side stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance
- Proficient in Python and JavaScript with experience using Selenium and Playwright for test automation
- Knowledge of software architecture principles including reusability, maintainability, scalability, and abstraction
- Experience with version control systems such as BitBucket or GitHub and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Swagger or Postman
- Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases, with ability to analyze and interpret data
- Demonstrated analytical and data-driven approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Thorough understanding of Scrum and Agile development practices
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
- Upper-Intermediate proficiency in English
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Snowflake data platform
- Background in the financial services industry
- Exposure to and openness to using AI-powered development tools such as Copilot and Augment
