Bragi is seeking an Audio Test Automation Engineer to join our Munich team. You will develop cutting-edge tools within our proprietary audio testing environment, with a primary focus on voice command features for headphones and true wireless stereo earbuds. Your work will ensure the quality and reliability of the audio experience for millions of users.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop tools within Bragi's proprietary audio testing environment.
- Automate firmware testing for audio devices, including flashing firmware, sending commands, managing Bluetooth connectivity, and simulating mobile app interactions.
- Work hands-on with audio hardware in automated audio labs and Hardware-In-the-Loop setups.
- Create and expand automated test cases for voice recognition, voice intelligibility, and audio playback.
- Execute a mix of automated and manual tests to improve coverage and efficiency.
- Analyze test results with a focus on audio performance, report findings, and collaborate with developers.
- Maintain and troubleshoot the audio test infrastructure, resolving hardware and software issues.
- Develop and document detailed audio and voice control test plans using Qase.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in software testing.
- Proven experience automating audio products in Hardware-In-the-Loop setups, specifically in voice recognition, voice intelligibility, or audio playback.
- Knowledge of audio standards and associated testing methodologies.
- Strong skills in Python and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and GitLab.
- Solid knowledge of automated testing frameworks and processes.
- A passion for working directly with physical audio devices and hardware.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong ownership and team collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience with a focus on consumer audio products such as headphones, earbuds, speakers, or voice-controlled devices.
