Responsibilities
- Support the senior tech editor in setting the strategic editorial policy for our tech beat, commensurate with the company’s overall goals.
Requirements
- Have at least 3 years of experience writing about consumer tech, AI, home automation, VPNs, and/or online privacy and security across Windows, macOS, iPhone, Android, and third-party apps.
- Be capable of turning around stories ranging from news stories to longer features at a quick pace.
- Be comfortable asserting your opinion and substantiating why your advice is sound.
- Be comfortable working across teams to meet business goals.
- Be comfortable working across mediums, including video and podcasts.
- Be obsessed with tech and helping others, and able to explain complicated processes in an understandable and approachable voice.
- Have shrewd judgment and a healthy skepticism of common advice.
