As an Associate Services Engineer, you will play a key technical role in deploying and integrating lawful intelligence and analytics platforms within complex network environments. Your responsibilities will span telecom networks, data centers, and cloud infrastructures, with a mix of remote and on-site work, including occasional domestic and international travel.
What You’ll Do
- Install and configure high-availability systems at customer locations, ensuring alignment with technical and regulatory standards.
- Support integration with network components such as deep packet inspection tools, probes, and mediation systems.
- Conduct system health assessments, execute acceptance testing, and maintain detailed implementation records.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with senior engineers, escalating bugs and validating fixes.
- Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams, providing updates and driving support cases to resolution within defined timelines.
- Gain proficiency in core protocols including TCP/IP, SIP, GTP, HTTP, and Diameter, as well as lawful intercept frameworks like ETSI and CALEA.
- Work closely with R&D and QA teams to ensure product stability and readiness for field deployment.
- Adhere to strict security and confidentiality requirements, including compliance with customer-specific policies and information handling standards.
- Utilize a ticketing system to manage case workflows, prioritize issues (P1–P3), and ensure SLA adherence.
What We’re Looking For
- Foundational knowledge of IP networking concepts such as routing, firewalls, VLANs, and IP addressing.
- Experience with Linux or Unix command-line environments.
- Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach to problem solving.
- Effective communication abilities for technical and customer-facing interactions.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support deployments.
- Eligibility and readiness to obtain a Security Clearance.
Preferred Background
- Experience with packet analysis tools like Wireshark.
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM) or container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Scripting skills in Bash or Python for automation and log analysis.
- Understanding of mobile core networks (3G/4G/5G) or ISP infrastructure.
- Knowledge of ETSI or CALEA compliance requirements.
- Experience using AI-powered tools to streamline workflows, generate technical content, or support troubleshooting.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Farnborough, Hampshire, requiring three days per week in the office with flexibility for remote work on other days.
