Responsibilities
- Identify and establish partnerships with banks in India and abroad, particularly those operating under IFSCA regulations in GIFT City, with capabilities in nostro/vostro arrangements and international fund transfers.
- Lead discussions with bank departments including treasury, trade finance, compliance, and product teams to create partnership models that align with regulatory and business goals.
- Manage and expand current banking relationships in key regions such as the Middle East, Southeast Asia, the UK/EU, and the US, with a focus on enhancing cross-border settlement channels.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Payment Aggregator and Current Account Banking regulations.
- Apply expertise in global payment systems like SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, FedWire, Faster Payments, and UPI integrations, along with Alternative Payment Methods, to determine optimal infrastructure per transaction corridor.
- Partner with internal product and engineering teams to integrate bank capabilities into operational solutions, covering onboarding through to settlement reconciliation.
- Assess and propose new payment networks such as real-time gross settlement systems, stablecoin-based transfer routes, or direct bank API integrations when economically feasible.
- Act as a liaison with International Banking Units, IFSC-registered entities, and IFSCA, ensuring awareness of regulatory updates, licensing changes, and newly approved financial activities.
- Develop and sustain professional connections with financial institutions, custodians, and fintech firms based in GIFT City operating under IFSCA oversight.
- Represent the company at industry events, regulatory forums, and banking conferences related to IFSCA and international corridors.
- Provide structured market intelligence to internal teams including Product, Compliance, and Sales, covering pricing trends, regulatory developments, and competitor strategies in key corridors.
- Work alongside legal and compliance departments to ensure all banking agreements comply with FEMA, RBI cross-border rules, AML/KYC standards, and IFSCA directives.
- Assist client-facing teams in designing compliant international transaction solutions, including outward remittances, import/export payments, foreign exchange risk management, and escrow arrangements.

- Professional proficiency in a second language relevant to target markets—such as Arabic, Mandarin, or a Southeast Asian language—is considered an advantage.
