VSP Vision is looking for an Associate Information Security Engineer to assist in the planning, design, and implementation of security tools and architectures. In this role, you will perform supervised technical duties across network security management, identity and access management, incident management, and security program implementations.
What You'll Do
- Review and advise on network and computer security technologies to identify deviations from documented standards.
- Collaborate with team members to design, build, and implement new technologies and supporting business processes.
- Assist with the implementation of various technologies and security controls for the Information Security Program.
- Provide recommendations and suggest changes to security technologies to comply with legal, regulatory, and/or contractual requirements.
- Coordinate schedules and support in the execution of implementation plans under the guidance of Senior Information Security Engineers.
- Author and maintain technical documentation, including operational runbooks and business processes.
- May participate in the investigation of intrusion incidents and conduct forensic investigations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on technical information security experience.
- Intermediate level knowledge of security principles and technologies.
- Ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization and interpret business initiatives.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties.

You will work under the guidance of Senior Information Security Engineers.
