About the Role

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is hiring an Assistant Teaching Professor in Human Physiology and Neurobiology. This role focuses on delivering high-quality undergraduate education within an interdisciplinary department that prepares students for careers in the health professions.

What You'll Do

  • Teach a course load of 27 contact hours per academic year.
  • Deliver instruction primarily for upper-level Human Physiology lecture and lab, and lower-level Introduction to Human Biology.
  • Explore opportunities to create and teach other courses in your area of expertise, such as Neurobiology or motor learning and performance.
  • Implement inclusive instructional strategies to increase support for students from underrepresented and first-generation backgrounds.
  • Advise students and contribute to departmental and institutional development.
  • Enhance the university’s mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and maintain an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates diversity.
  • Occasionally teach a course or work at the Manitowoc or Sheboygan Campus based on operational needs.

What We're Looking For

  • An earned Master’s degree (or higher) in Human Physiology or a related field by the start date of the appointment.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
  • A strong commitment to undergraduate education.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues.

Nice to Have

  • At least two years of college teaching experience.
  • A Doctorate in Human Physiology or a related field.
