SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed to be University is looking for an Assistant Professor in Applied Mathematics. We need a dynamic and dedicated educator committed to teaching excellence who actively involves students in the learning process. You'll join a team focused on advancing both pedagogy and research in applied mathematics.
What You'll Do
- Develop robust teaching-learning methodology
- Encourage student participation in project work and curriculum development
- Conduct and promote quality research work
- Participate in departmental and college-level activities beyond regular academics
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a concerned, relevant, or allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university
- Cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC (SLET/SET)
- OR hold a Ph.D. Degree awarded in accordance with UGC Regulations (2009/2016)
- For Ph.D. holders registered prior to July 11, 2009: Ph.D. awarded in regular mode; thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners; open Ph.D. viva voce conducted; published two research papers from Ph.D. work (one in a refereed journal); presented at least two papers from Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agency
Nice to Have
- A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university or institution ranked among the top 500 in World University Ranking by QS, Times Higher Education (THE), or Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU)
