Serbyte IT is hiring a Federal Proposal Writer to support our information technology business development efforts. In this role, you will focus on government pursuits (Federal, State, Local) of varying size and complexity, serving as a key contributor throughout the proposal lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Focus on information technology pursuits (Federal, State, Local) that vary in size and require diverse solutions.
• Be an integral part of the RFP lifecycle, including Analysis, Kick-Off Meetings, Proposal Development, Writing, Color Reviews, and Production.
• Research, collect data, organize information, and write text in response to government solicitations, including technical sections, past performance narratives, resumes, RFI responses, and white papers.
• Interview technical resources and translate their knowledge into content written at an 8th grade readability level.
• Ensure all submissions are accurate, complete, compliant with RFP requirements, and meet corporate quality and branding standards.
• Collaborate with the BD and Proposals team, Proposal Coordinators, Capture Managers, Business Development Managers, Authors, Subject Matter Experts, Artists, Program Managers, and Support Leads.

What We're Looking For

• 6-12 years of proposal and/or technical writing experience.
• Knowledge of RFP life cycle management and federal procurement regulations (FAR/DFARS).
• Proven ability to successfully communicate company proposal objectives and key characteristics to management and teammates in writing and oral presentations.
• Proven ability to work with and interview Subject Matter Experts to understand and write about complex technical and management approaches clearly.
• Excellent people skills—able to work with teams of varying sizes, technical abilities, and levels of authority, including both internal teammates and external partners.
• Advanced ability to manage the RFP/RFI process and the contributing team members (who are not direct reports).

Team & Environment

You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional group, including members of the BD and Proposals team, Proposal Coordinators, Capture Managers, Business Development Managers, Authors, Subject Matter Experts, Artists, Program Managers, and Support Leads.

Work Mode

This is a remote position. The company is located in Ashburn, Virginia.
